Management of Grace Church
The Elder Team
The Elder Team shall oversee the vision and direction of the church through the Senior Pastor and his management staff.
The Elder Team shall consist of both Ministry Staff and non-staff elders without consideration to the balance of numbers between the two groups. The Senior Pastor shall serve as a member without restriction as to term of length, and shall act as the Chairman.
Elders shall be men and women who are 18 years old or older who meet the scriptural qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. They shall be members of Grace Church for a sufficient time to know and understand the church vision and message and be known within the church leadership. New Elders shall be nominated by existing Elders.
Elders shall discharge their duties, including any duties as committee members, in good faith, with ordinary care, and in a manner they reasonably believe to be in the best interest of the Corporation.
The ministry of the office of Elder shall include, but not be limited to, the following: ability and authority to discharge all ecclesiastical and sacerdotal functions pertaining to Grace Church. Included in such functions are: baptizing, officiating in marriage ceremonies, conducting funerals, administration of Communion, counseling, preaching and teaching, and conducting the church services and ministries. They shall also supervise, nurture and cover the membership.
