Dear Grace Church Family,
Where would we be without the reality of Jesus’ resurrection? The Apostle Paul said it best;
“If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God” (1 Cor. 15: 14-15).
Paul darkens the supposed plight further;
“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins” (1 Cor. 15:17).
Wow! How hopeless we would be without the resurrection of Christ.
But, He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! (These words were frequently used by the early Christians in their greeting of one another.)
Now, here is the good news. The same Paul wrote the following words just prior to the verses quoted above;
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers….Then to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me…”(1 Cor. 15:3-8)
