I. God’s Eternal Purpose is NOT to make us like Jesus. That’s a by-product of His Eternal Purpose!

II. All believers agree that a believer should express Christ-like qualities and attributes, but not all agree as to HOW that actually happens!

III. Two Approaches (Two Trees):

A. Law & Works based and sin focused
B. Grace & Faith based and Christ focused

IV. Does the believer have a perfect new heart?

V. Nourishment for the New Creation:

A. Awareness of our Union with Christ Jesus
B. Focus on Heavenly Realities
C. Emphasis on Believing, not Doing

VI. Beholding Christ in our Inner New Man

VII. Beholding Christ in Creation

VIII. Beholding Christ in the Scriptures
