Glow Launch Party
As a tribe of women
who have been transformed by the gospel, we came together to honor life, community, and the wonders of God's
The theme of the year is "Being Shaped by Grace." We each share a unique story that's tethered to His story. Our group of women gathered to celebrate our kingdom heritage while eagerly looking ahead to what God has in store for us as we dive deeper into the message, our church, our relationships and our city.
The Launch Party event kicked off with words of encouragement and prayer by Pastor Javin. The festivities quickly started with the delicious smell of pancakes and waffles wafting from the breakfast bar. The laughter and conversation continued as we honed our crafting skills personalizing jewelry dishes and mini terracotta pots. It was a chance for those of us who have an artistic flair to showcase our talents. It also was an opportunity for those of us who may not have the same flair to fake it with some modge podge and decorative tape!
As the crafty portion of the morning came to an end, the women learned about all of the awesome plans In the Glow has for 2018. They were told about our upcoming events and current groups. They were also introduced to "Ladies' Night In" and were given a chance to become a part of the fun by gathering women for a "Ladies Night Out". A new discussion group, that will take place on Thursday nights called Gradient, was also introduced as part of the groups offered under In the Glow ministries.
In the Glow also announced their service project vision for the year: The Local Love Project. This year the focus will be on a local charity called The Sharing Center, located in Longwood. Through the Local Love Project, we will be able to serve our city with greater impact and hope.
The Launch Party was, in short, beautiful and inspiring. Thank you to all of the women who attended for bringing the fun, partnered with our vision, and created moments that made the morning special.
